What is a fixed inductance? What does it do? Let's talk to inductor manufacturers to find out.
Inductor with fixed inductance is called fixed inductor (also known as fixed inductor), it can be a single coil, multi-layer coil, honeycomb coil, coil with magnetic core, etc. According to the inductance and the maximum DC operating current, select the appropriate diameter of enameled wire wound on the core, and then with epoxy resin or plastic packaging. This kind of fixed inductor has the characteristics of small volume, lightweight, solid structure and easy installation, and is mainly used for filtering, oscillation, notch, delay and other circuits.
Fixed inductor configuration
A fixed inductor is actually a fixed coil, which can be single-layer coil, multi-layer coil, honeycomb coil and coil with magnetic core, etc. Fixed inductor In order to reduce the volume, usually according to the inductance and the maximum DC operating current size, choose the corresponding diameter of wire wound on the magnetic core, and then into a plastic shell, sealed with epoxy resin.
1) Vertical sealed fixed inductor: vertical sealed fixed inductor adopts the same pin, the domestic inductance range is 0.1~2200μH(directly marked on the housing), the rated operating current is 0.05~1.6A, the error range is ±5%~±10%. TDK series color code inductor inlet, inductor with color dot marking on the inductor surface.
2) Horizontal sealed fixed inductor: horizontal sealed fixed inductor adopts axial pin, domestic LG1, LGA, LGX and other series.
LG1 series fixed inductors have A range of inductance from 0.1 to 22,000 μH (directly marked on the housing), rated operating current from 0.05 to 1.6A, and an error range of ±5% to ±10%.
LGA series of fixed inductors adopt ultra-small structure, appearance similar to 1/2W color ring resistor, its inductance range is 0.22~100μH (marked with color ring on the housing), rated current is 0.09~0.4A.
LGX series of fixed inductors are also small package structure, the inductance range is 0.1 to 10000μH, the customer current is 50mA, 150mA, 300mA and 1.6A four specifications.
Characteristics of fixed inductance
A fixed inductor is actually a fixed coil, which can be a single-coil, a multi-layer coil, a honeycomb coil and a magnetic coil. In order to reduce the volume, the fixed inductor is usually wound with wires of the corresponding diameter in the magnetic core according to the inductance and the maximum DC operating current, and then installed with a plastic shell and encapsulated with epoxy resin. The fixed inductor has the advantages of small volume, lightweight, solid structure and easy installation. It is mainly used in filtering, vibration, delay, notch and other circuits.
How do I test an inductor
A common multimeter is used to test the inductor. When the inductor is suspected to be open or short on the printed circuit board, the multimeter RX1ω can be used to test the resistance values of the LX ends of the inductor. The DC resistance of general high-frequency inductors is between 0:00 ohms and several ohms. The internal resistance of low-frequency inductors ranges from several hundred ohms to several thousand ohms; The internal resistance of intermediate frequency inductors ranges from a few ohms to tens of ohms. In the test, it should be noted that some inductors have less coils or thick coil diameter, dc resistance is very small, that is, using RX1 ω block test, resistance value may still be zero, which is a normal phenomenon; The inductor is turned on when the resistance value is very large or very large.
